COP 28 - Capacity Building Hub (Blue Zone)

“Playing the City Game” at COP28’s Capacity Building Hub Blue Zone was a dynamic event focused on building innovative, solution-driven approaches to the climate emergency. Designed with a human-needs perspective, the event used gamification and connection to introduce regenerative practices on personal, interpersonal, and planetary scales. It fostered collaborative, evidence-based capacity development initiatives, encouraging the co-creation of solutions among diverse stakeholders including local governments, businesses, startups, youth, artists, and researchers. The event aimed to transform urban systems, promoting creativity, innovation, and a holistic regenerative approach to addressing both human and planetary needs.
